YBI hosts a summer community basketball tournament. The yearly summer event is YBI’s largest fundraising event. The community continues to increase their level of engagement to support the youth and adults participating in the tournament.
YBI hosted an online fundraising event on March 25th. We partnered with the local restaurant Caffe Social for a virtual happy hour from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Amanda Feurtado, created easy cocktail recipes that viewer supporters replicated from the comfort of their homes. Dajuan Wiggins, CEO & Executive Director raised the community awareness by answering YBI program initiative questions.
YBI participates yearly in Fairfield County’s Community Foundation’s “Giving Day”. This event is a 24-hour online fundraising campaign for hundreds of non-profit organizations throughout Fairfield County, CT. Here at YBI, we rely heavily on monetary donations from public and private businesses as well as individual contributions. Individual donations who pay it forward is how YBI continues to serve the youth of Fairfield county.
YBI partners with Mecha Noodle Bar in South Norwalk to EAT JUSTICE.
